Abstract On March 22, 1910, nineteen people gathered for a meeting called by Charles G. Marshall to discuss forming a church in order to fulfill the community's religious needs. As a result of the discussion, the Comstock Park Congregational Church officially formed with thirty-nine members on July 7, 1910. Abstract The origins of South Congregational Church start in 1874 when women from the Park Avenue Congregational Church organized a Sunday School. This would eventually lead to a "Mr. Gilbert" donating land for construction of a chapel. The new chapel was located between Sheldon and Jefferson on Delaware Street and finished in 1876. Abstract On September 23, 1874, a meeting was called for the organization of a Congregational church in Wollaston, Quincy, Massachusetts. The resulting Wollaston Congregational Society met in local churches and member residences until the completion of the first meeting house, which was erected in 1875 and dedicated in 1876.
